Former Alabama coach Nick Saban wins Emmy Award for ESPN

He is no longer coaching athletes in college football, yet he’s still impacting a team.

Nick Saban inspired young men to be great for 50 years in the coaching profession, including 17 seasons at the University of Alabama. He captured nine Southeastern Conference Championships and six national championships among other accolades during his tenure with the Crimson Tide. Saban is continuing his winning ways and preparation with a new team.

The 73-year-old transitioned fully to television in 2024, joining the ESPN College Football GameDay panel. His knowledge of the game, witty humor, and banter with his colleagues opened the world to a different side of Saban it enjoyed. The masses fell in love with television Saban as he captured an Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent.

He not only added credibility to the panel, but Saban made the show more enjoyable to watch.

He was a seven-time champion in college football, and now Saban is champion of TV.
