He was selected in the third round of the National Football League Draft by the Seattle Seahawks after four seasons at the University of Alabama. The native Texan pocketed a four-year rookie deal worth $6.26 million, according to Spotrac. Milroe gets a signing bonus of nearly $1.2 million as he prepares to learn how he can be impactful for the Seahawks.

He spent two seasons as a starting quarterback for Alabama, leading the Crimson Tide to a Southeastern Conference Championship and the College Football Playoff in 2023.
Milroe recorded 5,678 passing yards, 1,257 rushing yards, and 71 total touchdowns across 2023 and 2024 as a starter. He is seventh all-time in school history for career passing yards (6,016), seventh for career touchdown passes (45), tied for seventh for career rushing touchdowns (33), sixth all-time for total offense (7,593), and fourth all-time for touchdowns responsible for in a career (78).
