Alabama QB room ranks top-10 in 2025, according to PFF

How good is Alabama’s quarterback room for this season?

Kalen DeBoer does not have a proven signal-caller on the Crimson Tide’s roster, yet Alabama has talented players at the position that can lead the team to a championship.

Ty Simpson, Austin Mack, and Keelon Russell are the individuals in the competition.

NFL Draft analysts are now studying an Alabama CB for 2026 venue

Simpson is in his fourth year in the program and most expect him to be the starter with the knowledge of the system he has. AJ McCarron, a former Tide quarterback, is in support of Simpson and Nick Saban is ‘rooting for him’ as well. Mack, a transfer from Washington, came to the Crimson Tide with DeBoer, Nick Sheridan, and JaMarcus Shephard. Russell, a former five-star prospect from Duncanville, Texas, won two high school state championships.

He won the Elite 11 Most Valuable Player honor and is the highest rated quarterback Alabama recruited since Bryce Young. According to an article from Pro Football Focus, the Tide has the ninth-best quarterback room in college football. LSU, SMU, Arizona State, Florida, Clemson, Miami, Penn State, and Auburn are ahead of Alabama. DeBoer stated at the Regions Tradition Pro-Am golf tournament that the quarterback room as a whole needs to be good in order for the program to accomplish what it needs to. We will see how the quarterback room performs soon.
