Alabama freshman QB Keelon Russell surprises mom with new car

The native Texan has graduated from Duncanville (Texas) High School, capping off an incredible career that featured two state championships. Russell developed into a five-star prospect at Duncanville, becoming the highest-rated quarterback the Crimson Tide has signed since Bryce Young. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder was the Most Valuable Player in the Elite 11 competition before arriving in Tuscaloosa, Ala., yet he had a good spring with the Tide.

Russell is in a quarterback competition with Ty Simpson and Austin Mack, but expect to see him get opportunities to be prepared for the future. He has been working all offseason, but we are about to see Russell show everyone he belongs in the Southeastern Conference.
