Former Alabama LB Mack Wilson drops major bars in rap song for Cardinals

He found ways to impact his teammates at the University of Alabama, but the Montgomery (Ala.) native looks to have this NFC West team in the National Football League on a deep postseason run.

Mack Wilson has always had a love for music.

The motivation behind beats and lyrics drove him to be a two-time Southeastern Conference Champion (2016, 2018) and a College Football Playoff National Champion in 2017. Now in his second year with the Arizona Cardinals, Wilson is poised to get “Bird Gang” back in the playoffs.

Second-year Alabama DB training to put on a show in the fall

The former fifth-round pick of the 2019 NFL Draft had his best season since his rookie year for the Cleveland Browns. Wilson totaled 75 tackles, three sacks, five pass breakups, a fumble recovery, and an interception through 16 games in 2024. He missed out on the playoffs — finishing with an 8-9 record — yet the 27-year-old dropped major bars to motivate his team.

Wilson’s song, “18 Bars,” has taken off on social media.

His stage name is “Rocketship,” but Wilson had teammates vibing to his song.

Hopefully, this brings a team bonding aspect to Arizona.
